Setting Up Google Calendar Sync with DialCloud

Google Calendar sync pushes every AI-booked appointment to your Google Calendar within seconds of the booking being confirmed. The calendar event includes the customer name, phone number, service type, and any notes the caller provided. This means your field technicians, office staff, and anyone else with calendar access can see the full schedule without logging into DialCloud separately.

To connect, go to Settings > Integrations > Google Calendar and click 'Connect Google Account.' You will be redirected to Google's OAuth consent screen where you grant DialCloud permission to create and update events on your calendar. Select the specific calendar you want appointments to appear on (most businesses use a dedicated 'Appointments' calendar rather than their personal one). The connection is established immediately and all future bookings will sync automatically.

The sync is bidirectional in the sense that DialCloud pushes events to Google and updates them on reschedule or cancellation. However, availability is always determined by DialCloud's own appointment database, not by reading your Google Calendar. This means manually adding a personal event to Google Calendar will not block that time slot for AI bookings. If you need to block time, use the 'Block Time' feature in DialCloud's scheduling dashboard, which both blocks the slot from AI bookings and creates a corresponding Google Calendar event.
